Christmas in the very early 70's. There's a a peddle cart on the left of the photo in the form of a horse & cart. That toy has been around as long as I can remember. Until I found this photo I never really thought of where it came from, but it wasn't a surprise it's from an early Christmas.

Cutting a Christmas tree has been a tradition every year since the kids where little. This year schedules where so busy that they went and got a tree from the lions club. The tree is still real and still hand picked , but there was no trip out town & no cutting AND this year it might fit in the house without additional cutting.

I was out on a walk taking some shots & getting some practice (& content for this blog, as well as Flickr & Twitter) when the red sweater & hat caught my attention. She was taking photos and leaning on the wall, I liked the composition of the vertical bridge supports in the back & the trees in the mid ground. Once she started walking it all fell into place.
