ALK Art's Debut Show

On April 15 (2018) Ashleigh of ALK Art had her Debut Art Show at Taps on Queen, in Niagara Falls.

I had the opportunity to work with her and make a few videos for her social media channels and helped work on a poster for the 'real world'. If we've done our jobs reasonable well these things should need too much explanation.

So,  That's how I'll lay them out below. 

1st came the logo.










Next, came the poster.
Ashleigh had a 1st draft of the poster and with a little tinkering we had this.

7 Hands

The '7 Hands' logo was something we used way way back when we would post our Summerfolk pictures on simple little websites with pics & stories of our summerfolk adventures.

They where traced from real hands of people in our group.
Just Like the summerfolk Quilt.  One year they where the design for the summerfolk stones. Today '7 hands' is being used as cover art for an album & group of old summerfolk photos on Flickr.

Both the summerfolk quilt & the painted stones are stories for another day.

Owen the Gnome of Summerfolk

Meet Owen the Gnome of Summerfolk. Diane Falconer (my mom) EpicDi on flickr as sort of the embodiment  of the spirit of summerfolk. In 2006 she made the whole crew t-shirts featuring Owen. Then  I got my hands on the image and turned him into a sort of a logo for our group.
That's how  he being used here. I'm using Owen as a cover image for Summerfolk Albums & Groups that we are filling with photo's of summerfolks past.

Once we get back far enough there's even some photo's of us in our Owen Shirts.
