Link of The Day - New(ish) Videos Posted

I have updated my YouTube Channel and Vimeo account.

These channels now have 11 projects I created for Fort Erie Race Track during the 2013 season.
They had already been available on the Fort Erie Race Track Channel , but I have finally put them on my own channels as well.

Link of The Day - Super Slider Goodness

Some cool ideas of how to sue your slider for moves other than a simple side to side move.

there are some really cool ones and a couple I've never though of.
Even  if some might need a stronger tipod than what we have, they're  still great ideas.

It would be cool to give some of these a try on the Christmas tree.

Link of The Day - Gavle Goat

The Gavle Goat is a giant straw goat in sweden,
that is erected as a tourist attraction every Christmas.

It has often been the victim of people who set fire to it, run into it with their car or try to steal it with a helicopter.

Now they have a webcam so everyone can see it it's still standing. Aapparently there are bookmakers taking odds , but I can't find what the odds are.

Link of The Day - 1st Show Reel

Here's a Show reel for Mike Dimoff  the Race Announcer @ theTrack.

In case you don't know,Show Reels are used as an example of your work, with the hope someone will like it and you will get more work.

It's sort of like a video job history to include with your resume.

I should do one for myself, but not tonight.

Link of The Day - C100 gets Dual Pixel AF

The C100 ($5000ish) is being upgraded to include Dual Pixel AF (like the 70D).

It's a $500 upgrade for curerent owners. Not sure if will be standard or an option for future purchasers.

One commenter made a point I like.  They said (something like) I'm more interested that they are putting work into upgrading cameras they already have  than what the upgrade actually is.

I also like the idea that when you get a camera in that range they will release upgrades, not just realse a new model every year and expect you to keep buying new.

Lets hope it's a trend not just a one time thing.

Link of The Day - More from EdelKrone

Damn Germans,  every time I see a new mini rig from Edelfrone I say "WOW, That's Cool! ... I want one."

The new Pocket Shot is no exception.  It's 35mm X 46mm and expands to over half a meter. It can reconfigured in lots of ways for a should rig with a top handle, or the handle can be used for accessories,  and it has a cool option to stabilize it on your belt (Les Stroud style).

It's all cnc Aluminium  and composite materials & holds a 2KG camera.

It's$199 Not sure how much shipping is,  you have to set up an account and go through the ordering prceedure to get prices for international shipping.
