*Macro Monday
*Macro Monday: Playing with my latest acquisition, a canon 50 f2.5 macro lens. It's not a popular lens, but so far it's done exactly what I expected/needed.

**1) Spitting
**2) Steam
**3) Weights

**Steam, Spitting, & Weights: One of the many examples of steam power at the Marshville Heritage Festival.

***Time for Change
***Time for Change: An old school change machine.  I remember my dad having one like it in the 80's. Taken at the Marshville Heritage Festival Labour Day weekend in Wainfleet, Ontario, Canada.

*** Traveling in Style

Part of a series from Marshville Heritage Festival.  The Marshville Heritage Festival is on Labour Day weekend in Wainfleet, Ontario, Canada.

*Stop Motion: Playing with a quick shutter speed to stop the action.
**Motion: A slower shutter speed to show a bit of the wheels motion.

***Traveling in Style: Some might not see this as traveling in style, but at a heritage festival this is considered high style.

***Not sure if Niagara Dry items are of interest to anyone outside of the region, but they seem pretty popular around here.

This set of photos is from the 'High Lite Diner' in Downtown Niagara Falls. The High Lite has been a part of downtown as long as I can remember & some of the furnishings are older than that. The age of the furnishings, in some cases makes them cool & stylish, in other cases .. just aged.

The highlight is currently the place you can get breakfast (or coffee) downtown. The breakfast is typical  greasy spoon fair,  neither trendy or particularly healthy but, tasty & filling.
I suspect this won't be the last set I post from the High Lite.

Pic-of-The-day - "Close to the Edge" & "Lost in a Dream".

Glassy in the Foreground & Vintage Bokeh in the background.
Yes Vintage Bokeh, to my eye the bokeh from this lens* is different than all of my modern lenses. To my eye the 'bokeh balls' from the lens can have harder edges sort of like a ring around the edge. ... Which you prefer is (to my mind) mostly a matter taste.

This series was all taken with a vintage 50mm (*canon 1.8 FD) on a 70D.  It's a small waterfalls in Duff, that has the advantage that there is a little staircase that lets you get reasonably close to the water.
