How I Halloween | #7

It's Halloween !!!!

I was going to most more & earlier but,  things happen.


So, instead of  trying to do a quick (and probably not very good) version of what I had planned, I've put away those ideas for next year and have instead included a few autumn & Halloween video I've do in the past.

Hope the help give you that Halloween feeling.

I'm off to light the Jack-o-lanterns.

 Hear in Niagara Falls the night before Halloween is called "Cabbage Night". The name is a regional variation used in this area and few others. Regardless of the name it's a night  for mischief, pranks etc. just as it is in  most other areas.

We haven't really had much trouble, but smashing pumpkins is still quite popular, so we'll probably keep the ones that have already been carved safe in the house or back yard.

 Pic-of-The-day - "Original Jack-O-Lantern".

Its' said that the first Jack-O-Lanterns where made from turnips, mangles and the like.
When I get the chance I like to make a jack from a turnip. Every time I  try it I soon  remember how much more difficult they are to carve than pumpkins. Which is why the designs are so simple. This particular turnip is from 2008.
