It's Wall paper Wednesday again. Today's wallpaper  is a cool design made in the sand by melting snow,  with a little interest added by the colour effect.

Pic Of the Day - Leading the Eye

 Leading the Eye
A bit of fun light & shadow, distance & focus.
In theory your eye should be drawn to the brighter part of the photo & your eye should also be drawn to the part of the frame that is in focus. The alternation of light & dark is supposed to give a fuller sense of space and just might help lead the eye beyond the initial point of interest and explore the frame more.

That's the theory as i understand it. i wonder if any of it actually works in this photo.

Pic Of the Day - Sculpted in Stone

Sculpted in Stone
Today's POtD (Pic Of the Day)  is being posted very late. This can be blamed on St. Patrick's Day but here it is better late than never.

These columns are located at the bottom of clifton hill on the edge of the Oaks Garden theatre in Niagara Falls Canada.

Pic Of the Day - QVP (Queen Victoria Park)

Interesting lighting on a sign at the entrance to QVP (Queen Victoria Park) in Niagara Falls Canada.

Obligatory Wikipedia link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queen_Victoria_Park

There will probably be more about QVP in the future, but for now the wikipedia is a decent introduction.
