 Leading the Eye

A bit of fun light & shadow, distance & focus.
In theory your eye should be drawn to the brighter part of the photo & your eye should also be drawn to the part of the frame that is in focus. The alternation of light & dark is supposed to give a fuller sense of space and just might help lead the eye beyond the initial point of interest and explore the frame more.

That's the theory as i understand it. i wonder if any of it actually works in this photo.

These columns are located at the bottom of clifton hill on the edge of the Oaks Garden theatre in Niagara Falls Canada.
